St John Kingdom Family,
As you’ve read in the “Phase 2: The Assessment” document—about the process that we are now in full swing—you’ve hopefully continued to gain the understanding that WE, OUR ST JOHN CONGREGATION, ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. Not only does your voice matter, but the reality is, we will also not be able to move forward in any direction without your committed, prayerful participation.
On the following pages are questions that the Conference Guide Team (CGT) has put before us. Not only will your responses to these questions help in our discernment about denominational direction, your responses—as those carefully placed in this Kingdom Community by God for great purpose (see Psalm 33:11, Romans 8:28, Ephesians 2:8-10)—will help us to discern our direction with regards to our daily ministry within our HWY 58 Community and across the world. This is not simply Pastor Carl trying to hype you up. This is real. This is part of our purpose…together. Please be faithful in responding to these questions, and please do so through prayerful & genuine consideration for how we are to: “Make a difference together, belonging, believing, building and blessing through God’s power”; that we might truly become “A Community healed through Jesus Christ for the Glory of God.”
BEFORE you begin answering any of the following questions, please take a moment to simply “be” in the presence of God. And, please make the following prayer part of your time: Gracious and loving God, please guide our steps, shine your light upon our path, and show us the way we should go. Fill our hearts with your peace as we make decisions and lead us in the right direction. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
